S&A Johnson Butchers is a family business with many years of heritage extending to its third generation.

Our shop is situated in the heart of Tarleton Village and was established in 2003. Stuart and his family are proud to supply only fresh, local meat and poultry, supporting the local economy and reducing the energy needs to transport your food.

High Quality Products

All produce is totally traceable from farm to plate as we take pride in high-quality products, using traditional butchery to prepare cuts especially for you. We have a small herd of beef cattle and our reputation for making delicious homemade pies is recognised.

If you can't see what we have, we can prepare it for you.

English Beef. Home reared in Tarleton. The beef is traditional aged from 14 to 21 days . Once matured it will be butchered by ourselves to your individual specifications.

English Lamb. Local Free-range Lamb when in Season, including Texel and Suffolk breeds. The lambs are born and reared naturally using traditional farming methods to provide a consistent quality product.

English Pork. Quality assured from our approved suppliers and their associated farms. The farmers take great pride and care in rearing their pigs maintaining all the animal welfare and quality standards for English pork.

English Chickens. Whole Fresh Chickens, Chicken breasts, Chicken legs and Eggs.

Cured Products. Bacon and Gammons.

Homemade Pies & Homemade Burgers.

Homemade Sausage selection including Low Fat Sausage.

Wide selection of cooked meats and Game when in season.

We also stock a range of locally produced vegetables and a wide range of condiments to complement including Lancashire Crisps and Tracklements.
